Keyworth Wildflower Meadow

How to get there:

The meadow is to eventually become a burial ground and it can be accessed from the burial ground car-park at the bend on Wysall Lane.

The field has been acquired by Keyworth Parish Council as an extension to the burial ground. Part of it will be annexed for this purpose in about 2018 but the whole of the field should not be needed for perhaps a century. It is hoped that a large proportion can be used for 'natural' burials with the graves being returned to meadow.

It was seeded with hay and wildflower mixes in 2011 and during May and June is a marvellously colourful display of what has now been largely lost from the countryside. Much more information at keyworth-meadow.co.uk.
