Colston Basset; Langar Lane Notified Road Verge

How to get there:

The site is part of the public highway.

The Notified Road Verge Scheme is managed by Nottinghamshire County Council to give special management of particularly important examples of grassland that are either very diverse or which host rare species.

This is a section of verge backed by a tall-grown species-rich hedge. A large population of common knapweed and agrimony is present. Amongst other frequent herbs are spiny restharrow, ribwort plantain and red clover, and a few cowslips.
