NBN atlas has 3 records as at end 2024 (all of the same bird). Map Here.
One bird has been seen in the wild in Britain (Humberside November 1991) at a time when the species had been advertised for sale and the BBRC has reviewed the record several times. Evidence of long-distance westward vagrancy is weak and a record of one recorded at Treviso. Italy in September 1957 is controversial however there is an acceptable record from Neftekamsk, Russia on 2nd August 2007. (BOURC 38th Report). In light of the acceptance of a first-winter male in Italy in October 2011, the Humberside bird was reviewed and once again the committee could not reach a unanimous decision. (BOURC 46th Report).
