The species was already on category E prior to 2016 when one spent the summer in Cornwall and Devon. The same bird had previously been seen in Poland and later in France and Germany. The BOURC decided that this occurence was, on the balance of probabilities a natural occurence and the species placed on Cat A, though it also remains on Category E. All but three of the 293 records mentioned above refer to the 2016 summering bird.
