Notes

This species has established populations in many countries that it is not native. In Portugal there were estimated to be 10,000 to 100,000 breeding pairs in the 1990s and it is spreading through Spain. It is established on Madeira, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and the Azores. There are also populations in various parts of the Americas.
