Australia. Found almost everywhere but for the northern, southern and eastern coastal strips. Not in Tasmania

The very popular cage bird with frequent escapes. Nottinghamshire has five documented records so clearly they don't all get reported. Landguard Bird Observatory (Suffolk) documents 35 sightings over the years 1981 to 2023.
